Principal Hawraa's Message – Looking Towards Getting Back in School Safely for 2021-2022
Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim
Dear IACS community, As-Salaamu Alaikum,
I would like to take time to share my admiration and appreciation of our school community for their patience and fortitude in making the best of our virtual 2020-2021 school year.
Alhamdullilah, and thanks to our amazing staff and families, IACS was able to accommodate all registered students in our virtual setting last year.
As the principal of IACS, I thank our students for their participation, motivation to learn, and for showing up and having their cameras in our virtual classes.
As a parent, I would like to thank our teachers and staff for showing up, for their dedication and passion to teach, for making virtual setting possible and to make the best out of the class time last year.
Finally, I would like to thank our parents for going above and beyond to continue their children’s Islamic education.
Now, I am HAPPY to share that we are ready to go back to in person setting.
We will be monitoring local COVID cases and follow Fairfax County Public School’s guidelines in regards to staying in person or going back to virtual setting.
As of now, IACS WILL BE IN PERSON for the year 2021-2022.
To ensure safety of your loved ones and our staff, the following initiatives will be taken:
Staff and students will be wearing mask at all times,
We have hired staff to help with sanitation throughout the day,
All supplies will be sanitized at the beginning and end of each school day,
We will insure social distancing during lunch time
We have registered less students to be able to observe social distancing as much as possible
We ask that you keep your child home if they have any symptoms such as cough, fever, sneeze, body-ache. Students with any of these symptoms WILL BE SENT home if they show up at school.
As a IACS team, we are excited for all that we have learned during this year and are even more excited to continue to use much of it while we clear the path to getting back into school safely, InshaAllah.
